Iranian Artists Forum to screen Cannes award-winning films

The Iranian Artists Forum is to screen Cannes Film Festival winners in Tehran.

The movies to be shown in the event include Abbas Kiarostami's 'Taste of Cherry', 'Kagemusha' by Akira Kurosawa, Andrzej Wajda's 'Man of Iron',  'Secrets & Lies' directed by Mike Leigh, Shohei Imamura's 'The Eel', Theodoros Angelopoulos' 'Eternity and a Day', 'Rosetta' co-directed by Jean-Pierre Dardenne and Luc Dardenne, 'The Son's Room' directed by Nanni Moretti, and Gus Van Sant's 'Elephant'.

The non-Iranian films are slated to be displayed in the original language with Persian subtitles.

Regarded as cinema's most prestigious festival, the Cannes Film Festival is celebrating its 71st anniversary this year.

The 71st edition of Cannes Film Festival will take place on May 8-19, 2018. The official selection will be announced on Thursday, April 12.
